According to the Associated Press, Broadway vet Christine Ebersole will star in 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Martin Scorsese will direct the film, in which she will star as DiCaprio's mother.
Ebersole's theater credits include the revival of 42nd Street, Steel Magnolias, On the Twentieth Century, Camelot, Oklahoma, Dinner at Eight (Tony and Outer Critics Circle nominations), The Best Man and the recent revival of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit. She has starred in five City Center Encores! Productions, most recently receiving unanimous praise for her starring role as Margo Channing in Applause.
Ebersole has appeared in many hit movies, including Amadeus, Tootsie, Richie Rich, Black Sheep, Dead Again, Folks!, Ghost Dad, True Crime, My Girl 2, Mac and Me and Confessions of a Shopaholic. She can be seen in the upcoming film The Big Wedding, slated for release this October. Ebersole has an extensive list of television credits, as well, including recent appearances on Retired at 35, Royal Pains, Ugly Betty, Law and Order: SVU, Boston Legal, Samantha Who? and Will and Grace.
