Christina Applegate will star in upcoming Netflix dark comedy series Dead To Me. Applegate will take on the role of Jen, a poised and put together woman with a dark sense of humor and an anger problem that she doesn't necessarily want to deal with, Jen has been struggling to keep it together in the months since her husband was killed in a hit and run.

Dead to Me is a dark comedy about a powerful friendship that blossoms between a tightly wound widow and a free spirit with a shocking secret.

Dead to Me is produced by CBS Television Studios and Gloria Sanchez Productions for Netflix, and executive produced by Liz Feldman (Showrunner), Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jessica Elbaum, and Christina Applegate.

Applegate got her start playing the role of Kelly Bundy on the FOX sitcom Married... with Children. In her adult years, Applegate established a film and television career, winning an Emmy Award and earning Tony and Golden Globe nominations. Applegate has had major roles in several films, including Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, The Big Hit, The Sweetest Thing, Grand Theft Parsons, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and its sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Hall Pass, Vacation, and Bad Moms. She has also starred in several theatre productions, including the 2005 Broadway revival of the musical Sweet Charity. Applegate has played the lead role in the television sitcoms Jesse, Samantha Who? and Up All Night.
