Chris Pratt is in negotiations to star in Taylor Sheridan's new film, according to Variety.
David Heyman will produce the film that Sheridan is writing and directing. The film, which is currently titled "Fast," follows a former special forces commando (Pratt), who's recruited by the DEA to lead a BLACK OPS strike team targeting drug dealers who are protected by the CIA.
The film would be Sheridan's follow-up to his directorial debut, 2017's "Wind River." The movie has a budget of about $70-$80 million, so Warner Bros. needed a star attached in order to move the film forward.
When Sheridan began season two of his hit Paramount Network series, "Yellowstone," Warner Bros. postponed the production of his film, which allowed for Pratt to join as it now fit the open slot in his schedule. When Pratt met with Sheridan, he expressed immediate interest in the project.
