Chris Pine has officially signed on for New Line's HORRIBLE BOSSES sequel.
Sources have confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the actor's deal is officially dry after a few weeks of negotiations.
Pine joins Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx for the film. Reports also emerged last week that Christoph Waltz was circling a role in the film.
Sean Anders and John Morris are set to direct, after Seth Gordon departed to work on the freshman ABC comedy THE GOLDBERGS, as well as other projects.
Horrible Bosses' hit theaters in July 2011, following the story of Bateman, Day and Sudeikis, stressed out and overworked employees who devise a plan to do away with their bosses. Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey play the roles of the employers. The film surprisingly grossed about $117 million in the US and $209 million worldwide.
Pine is best known for his portrayal of Captain Kirk in Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness. Upcoming films includeJack Ryan and Mantivities. Pine has also appeared on screen in People Like Us, This Means War, Unstoppable, Smokin' Aces and more.
