Chris Meloni to Star in Upcoming Season of HBO's TRUE BLOOD?

As first reported on TVOnline, actor Chris Meloni may be joining the cast of 'True Bloods' Season 5. 

The former star of NBC's 'Law & Order:SVU is reportedly considering a 'major role' in the upcoming season of the HBO series.  The actor is currently filming 'The Man of Steel'.  He is reportedly in talks to play the role of a very powerful vampire.

HBO's TRUE BLOOD tells the story of vampires who have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight.  While humans have been safely removed from their menu, many remain apprehensive about these neighboring creatures.
