HollywoodReporter.com reports that 'The Bachelor' host Chris Harrison is returning to host the 2016 MISS AMERICA pageant show. The show will air live on ABC from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on September 13, for the seventh year in a row.
He joins the previously announced panel of celebrity judges that includes Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Kevin O'Leary, Amy Purdy and Zendaya. The MISS AMERICA Organization, Dick Clark Productions and ABC will announce Harrison's co-host for the show in the coming weeks.
"It is an honor to be back as host of MISS AMERICA for the seventh time," said Harrison. "This is a special event that has become near and dear to my heart. I'm proud to say I'm one of the longest running hosts in the competition's iconic 95 year history."
The TV personality has gone from covering local sports in Oklahoma City to entertainment television, where he's hosted HGTV's Designer's Challenge, ABC's The Bachelor, THE BACHELORETTE and Bachelor in Paradise. Come September, he'll add Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to his resume. He's also hosted The 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bee, the 2008 American Music Awards Red Carpet Live! and Road to the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The 2016 MISS AMERICA Competition will air Sunday, September 13 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
