Chris Coy Joins Hugh Jackman in Political Drama THE FRONT RUNNER

Chris Coy (THE DEUCE, DETROIT) will star alongside Hugh Jackman in THE FRONT RUNNER, as reported by Deadline.

The film will follow Gary Hart, the Democratic Colorado Senator who was a contender in the 1988 presidential race until he was accused of having an affair with Donna Rice, a former Miss South Carolina.

Jackman will take on the role of Hart, while Coy will play Press Secretary Kevin Sweeney, who worked hard to keep the media focused on Hart's campaign and not his alleged affair. The film will also star Vera Farming and J.K. Simmons.

The film is based on Matt Bai's book All the Truth Is Out. Bai and Jason Reitman co-wrote the movie. Reitman will also direct.
