Chord Overstreet will not return to GLEE next season as a series regular, according to reports from Entertainment Weekly.

However, Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr. are being promoted to the ranks of fulltime cast members. According to reports, there is still a chance that Overstreet could occasionally appear on GLEE during the third season. Overstreet alluded to the news on Twitter writing, "well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh."

GLEE is the highest-rated scripted series of the season and boasts critical acclaim, a loyal fan base of "GLEEks," two certified Gold albums, more than 20 million song downloads and an incredible 19 Emmy nominations - earning it the distinction of being the most-nominated series of last year. To top it off, the genre-defying, award-winning series has been picked up through its third season. GLEE airs on FOX Tuesdays.
