Ruyi Films (Beijing, China) and Syon Media (Montreal, Canada) will publish the English translation of The Mirror by renowned author Cang Yue. This masterpiece of contemporary Chinese fantasy literature has sold over seven million copies to date. This franchise will be developed for the international market as multiple feature length movies in English, along with six English language books.
The co-publishing agreement will be announced at Book Expo America (BEA) in New York City this week.
The Mirror story: spanning decades and oceans, The Mirror takes place in Eden,
a fantastical world of powerful sorcery, tragic romance, and thrilling quests. It features a colorful cast of complex characters. Combining ancient Chinese mythology and martial arts with an original blend of fantasy and the supernatural, this epic tale will appeal to adventure seekers of all cultures and generations. The Mirror series consists of six books: Twin Cities, Po Jun, Long Zhan, Pi Tian, Shen Ji and Zhi Meng Zhe.
