China Lion Film Distribution announced today they have finalized the acquisition of the Tang Wei-starrer Only You the Zhang Ziyi-starrer The Wasted Times, and the Kris Wu and Li Yifeng-starrer Mr. Six from leading independent film and television financing, sales and distribution company IM GLOBAL. In North America, Only You will be theatrically released on July 24th, The Wasted Times will be theatrically released October 3rd and Mr. Six will be theatrically released in December, with a specific date to be announced. Australia and New Zealand theatrical releases will be one day prior. China Lion Film will continue its practice of releasing day-and-date with the Mainland, ensuring that North American and Australian & New Zealand audiences see all three films the same day as Chinese audiences.

The Wasted Times (???????), which stars Zhang Ziyi, Ge You and Asano Tadanobu, and is directed by Cheng Er, is set for a day-and-date release with the Mainland on October 3rd in celebration of China's National Day and Golden Week. The revenge thriller takes place in 1930s Shanghai, revolving around a Japanese SPY hunting down his former friend for murdering his family. China Lion previously released Zhang Ziyi's My Lucky Star and Ge You's Personal Tailor. Director Cheng Er is best known for helming the Ning Hao-produced film Lethal Hostage.

Mr. Six (???), which stars Kris Wu, Li Yifeng, Zhang Hanyu and Feng Xiaogang, is set for a day-and-date release in December, with a specific date to be announced. The title character, played by Feng Xiaogang, finds himself a has-been hooligan, now living alone and suffering from various maladies. When his son (Li Yifeng) is taken by the new breed of wannabe gangsters (Kris Wu, Zhang Hanyu), he asserts his old ways to win him back. Kris Wu last starred in the China Lion Film release of Somewhere Only We Know. The film was directed by Guan Hu, who did 2009's well-regarded Huang Bo-starrer Cow.

All films are tentatively set to be released in theaters throughout the US and Canada, including Boston, Los Angeles, New York, the Orange County/Irvine/Tustin area, San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver, as well as throughout Australia and New Zealand. By opening with the worldwide release, China Lion will allow audiences to see the film at the same time as Mainland audiences.
