Chicago Meteorologist Megan Glaros to Co-Host THE TALK, 6/16

WBBM-TV Chicago meteorologist Megan Glaros returns to the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated talk show, CBS's THE TALK, as a guest co-host on Monday, June 16 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT), joining hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood at the table. This will be Glaros' second appearance on THE TALK. Also appearing on the show will be CBS's MIKE & MOLLY star Billy Gardell who plays good-hearted Chicago cop, Officer Mike.

Throughout the week, news anchors from five CBS Owned Stations around the country will be in Los Angeles to serve as guest co-hosts.

During the week of June 16, The Talk will feature the following guest co-hosts:

Tuesday, June 17: Lisa Hughes, News Anchor, WBZ-TV, Boston
Wednesday, June 18: Karen Borta, News Anchor, KTVT-TV, Dallas
Thursday, June 19: Chris Wragge, News Anchor, WCBS-TV, New York
Friday, June 20: Pat Harvey, News Anchor, KCBS-TV, Los Angeles
Megan Glaros, who joined WBBM-TV in August, 2010, is the weekday meteorologist for the morning news, 4:30-7:00 AM, and the midday news, 11-11:30 AM. Formerly, Glaros served as the weekend morning meteorologist and entertainment reporter at WCBS-TV New York from 2008.

Glaros, a member of the National Weather Association, received her American Meteorological Society accreditation and its Seal of Approval in 2006. From 2004-2008, she worked as the morning and noon meteorologist at WPLG-TV in Miami, Fla., where she reported on some of the most active hurricane seasons on record, including Katrina, Rita and Wilma.

In addition to reporting on weather at WPLG-TV, Glaros hosted a weekly feature segment, "Megan On The Move," where she showcased South Beach culture and entertainment. Also, she hosted a live, one-hour Monday Night Football countdown show from different locations in South Florida and has filled-in on "Good Morning America."

Glaros began her career at WTAP-TV in Parkersburg, W. Va. From there she moved to the Sinclair Broadcast Group in Baltimore, where she provided forecasts for up to five different cities a night.

Glaros grew up in Dyer, Ind., where she lives with her husband and three children. She graduated with a double major in journalism and atmospheric sciences from Indiana University.

CBS's THE TALK, recently nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show-Entertainment and Outstanding Talk Show Host, features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities who examine current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes. Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, musical performances, how-to demos and appearances from extraordinary people with stories that engage and inform. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.

CBS Daytime has been #1 in the daypart for 27 consecutive years, featuring a balance of dramas, game shows and talk. Recently, CBS led the 2014 Daytime Emmy Nominations with 60 nods. The #1 daytime drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, received 26 nominations, more than any other show. CBS received more nominations than any other network. In addition, The Bold and the Beautiful received 18 nominations, LET'S MAKE A DEAL received three and network television's longest-running game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT received two nominations.
