Over four decades after her stint on THE SONNY AND CHER COMEDY HOUR, the iconic singer/actress may be poised to make a return.

At the Television Critics Association press tour, Logo made the announcement that Cher had signed a deal to develop a pilot episode for a new comedy series.

The series, which she's creating alongside Ron Zimmerman ('Til Death), will be set in 1960s Hollywood. There's no word yet on whether Cher will star.

"We read some of the stuff that Cher and Ron had written and it was really terrific," Logo's senior vp of original programming, Brent Zacky told The Hollwyood Reporter. "We came up with an idea set in Hollywood in the early '60s and we're very excited to see how we get through the process. The deal is brand-new and we're just getting started on the project."

BWW TV World will keep you updated as the legend's pilot episode and potential series develops.
