Celebrity Breakups Continue as MUPPETS' Kermit and Miss Piggy Call It Quits!

While promoting the upcoming ABC series THE MUPPETS at this week's Television Critics Association summer press tour, it was announced that celebrity couple Kermit and Miss Piggy have called it quits.

Miss Piggy took to Twitter to share an official subject on the matter, posting:

"After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our reomantic relationship," she wrote. "We will continue to work together on television and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter... unless we get the right offer. Thank you for understanding."

TV Line reports that Kermit is already dating and has been linked to another pig named Denise, a marketing employee at ABC.
