According to Deadline.com, Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to join Focus Features' 'Lay the Favorite.' The production is a film adaptation of Beth Raymer's gambling memoir. Zeta joins joins previously announced Bruce Willis and Rebecca Hall. Production will begin in April.
As described by Deadline, Zeta-Jones will star as 'the wife of a legendary gambler (Willis). Hall plays a young woman who becomes involved with the guy as he figures out how to gain an edge on the Vegas sports book system.'
Zeta-Jones received a Tony Award for her performance in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and an Academy Award for "Chicago." She has appeared on the London stage in 42ND STREET and STREET SCENE. Her many film credits include "No Reservations," "The Terminal," "Entrapment," "Traffic" and "The Mask of Zorro."
