The Portland-based cast and crew of NBC's "Grimm" will bring their star power to the "Grimm Gala" on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 to benefit the children and families of OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The sold-out event, presented by Comcast and NBCUniversal, is a fundraiser for the Grimmster Endowment, which supports uncompensated care, travel, lodging, and other services integral to the care and comfort of OHSU Doernbecher's patients and families in need.

"Grimm" actor Sasha Roiz, who plays Captain Sean Renard, inspired both the Grimmster Endowment and the "Grimm Gala". "We've been shooting "Grimm" in Portland for a number of years now, and I speak for the whole cast and crew when I say we consider Portland our adopted hometown," said Roiz. "Our involvement with OHSU Doernbecher is a meaningful way for us to give back to the community."

This is the second year that Comcast and NBCUniversal have underwritten the "Grimm Gala", ensuring that every penny raised at the event goes to the Grimmster Endowment. Last year, the event raised $300,000. A portion of those funds came from the sale of one-of-a-kind merchandise created by Nike, which was auctioned at the Gala. Nike will repeat that opportunity for Gala attendees, with some new, limited-edition shoes and outerwear created specifically for "Grimm" and the Gala.

As host of the Gala, Comcast's Senior Regional Vice-President Rodrigo Lopez says the company's commitment to community investment in Oregon and Southwest Washington is deep. "We pride ourselves on both looking forward and giving back: looking forward with our cutting-edge technology and giving back to our community through events like this."
