Country music star Carrie Underwood turned to Twitter to make a very special 'Labor Day' announcement yesterday. "In honor of "Labor" Day...Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!"
The upcoming bundle of joy will be the first for the 'American Idol' champion and her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher. Underwood's publicist confirmed that the couple is expecting their new arrival next spring.
The 31-year-old singer is a six-time Grammy winner and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. She was the first female to twice win the Academy of Country Music's entertainer of the year award.
Underwood will serve as co-host to the the upcoming Country Music Association Awards along with Brad Paisley this November.
