NBC UNIVERSO, the modern general entertainment cable channel for Latinos, premieres the scripted mini-series from Mexico, "Crónica de Castas," this Sunday, April 19 at 10pm ET/PT. The provocative series is making its U.S. television debut on NBC UNIVERSO, and features an acclaimed cast of actors including the renowned actress Nailea Norvind as well as award-winning Spanish actress, Ángela Molina.
Filmed in the symbolic neighborhood of Tepito in Mexico City, the mini-series revolves around the local Hotel Galicia and is interwoven with stories from several distinct characters. Sunday's first episode finds upper-class girl, Lucia, at her BREAKING POINT after suffering repeated abuses at the hand of her mother's boyfriend. Looking to escape, she boards a taxi where she meets Raul, the taxi driver, who is on a mission to uncover his family secrets after learning his mother has been hiding the truth behind his father's death. Belonging to different social classes, they soon find themselves transformed by the 'Barrio Bravo.'
