COMEDY CENTRAL Digital announced the launch of "The Download," a new weekly talk show hosted by comedian Jordan Rubin which premieres today on comedycentral.com. The digital series focuses on the rich comedic targets that continually appear where the worlds of technology and entertainment collide. Samsung is the exclusive sponsor of "The Download" and its Internet-connected Smart TV will be featured in each of four weekly episodes as Rubin and his sidekick, pop culture blogger Molly McAleer, mine the Internet for comedy.

Host Rubin, formerly the head writer of the MTV Movie Awards and writer of the opening film for the 2011 Academy Awards broadcast, has a fascination for technology that has become a common theme during his stand-up shows. Each week on "The Download," Rubin and McAleer will interview guests from the world of comedy, entertainment and/or technology, exploring and debating how they use social media and gadgets. Some segments will take place in-studio while others will utilize the applications available on the Samsung Smart TV, including Skype, Twitter, Picasa, "mood lighting," and more. Confirmed guests include actor Jerry O'Connell, DJ Samantha Ronson, musician Money Mark, comedians Morgan Murphy and Rob Delaney and internet sensation Justine Ezarik, aka iJustine.

The featured guest in today's premiere episode is Jerry O'Connell, who reveals his formerly secret Twitter handle and Charlie Sheen's reaction to his recent viral video audition for "Two and a Half Men." Episode two, debuting on May 12, includes in-studio guest Samantha Ronson, who discusses her recent bike accident and what it's like to have 1.5 million Twitter followers. The same episode also includes an on-location visit with Money Mark, the frequent Beastie Boys collaborator who created the theme music for "The Download." Episodes three (May 19) and four (May 26) include comedians Morgan Murphy and Rob Delaney, along with internet sensation Justine Ezarik aka iJustine.

COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, currently is seen in more than 98 million homes nationwide.
