The Colbert Report took home the 2013 Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series tonight, with headliner Stephen Colbert accepting the award.

The daily late-night show beat out The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Real Time With Bill Maher, and Saturday Night Live.

Below, check out Colbert's acceptance speech!

STEPHEN COLBERT: Thank you very much. Wow. As I said before, it's sort of a cliche to say that it is such an honor just to be nominated, but it's more than that. It's also a lie.

(Laughter.)

This is way better. I personally have to thank my friend and my brother, Jon Stewart, who is the one who said, "We should do a show together where you are a professional idiot." And Jon never told me how good this feels, actually. I want to thank again the network for letting us do this. I want to thank James Dixon, my agent. I want to thank ?? I want to thank my mom for not worrying about me and for believing that I'd be okay. So thank you to the Academy. Thank you to everyone who works on the show to make it possible. Goodnight.
