Could your small business use $50,000? All it takes is the ability to win over the crowd! From now until May 27th, you can enter your business in the "Crowd Rules $50,000 Challenge."

Beginning today until May 27th, small businesses can submit a 1-2 minute video about their company, why they deserve the cash and what they would do with the money. Once the submission period is over, eligible businesses and their videos will be posted to CNBC.com and open for voting by the general public. Companies compete to become one of the top 10 businesses and then narrowed down to the final 3 with the general public choosing a winner.

Small businesses can check back on May 28th to see if they've made the list of businesses eligible to compete for the $50,000 prize. They can then solicit support and alert family, friends, customers, neighbors - anybody and everybody - because only the 10 businesses with the most votes will be considered for an opportunity to participate in the final round. The winner will be announced during the "Crowd Rules" season finale on Tuesday, July 2nd at 9PM ET/PT on CNBC.

Limit 1 entry per person or email address from Tuesday, May 14 to Monday, May 27. To enter, and for Official Rules and prize details, go to www.cnbc.com/crowd-rules-contest. Sponsors: CNBC LLC and NBCUniversal Media, LLC.

"Crowd Rules" premieres tonight, Tuesday, May 14 at 9PM ET/PT on CNBC.

Each week, "Crowd Rules" features three small businesses that compete in front of an audience of 100 that votes to decide who wins a much-needed $50,000. Entrepreneur and jewelry designer Kendra Scott, NY1 Anchor Pat Kiernan, along with a weekly guest industry expert, lead the examination of the small businesses in order to help a studio audience choose which company wins the $50,000. While the small business owners make their case to the panel of three, the real power lies in the hands of the audience - 97 strong - whose votes will ultimately decide which business is most deserving of the investment.

"Crowd Rules" is produced by CNBC and Embassy Row with Jim Ackerman and Michael Davies serving as executive producers.
