CNBC.com Breaks Records In April

CNBC.com scored a record page view month, with 282 million, making it the #1 stand alone financial news website by total page views according to the latest data from comScore Media Metrix.** In addition, the online destination for global business news and expert analysis was visited by 5.7 million unique visitors, the most in any April on record.

Additional CNBC.com April 2010 highlights include:

-CNBC.com is the #1 site in the category in total minutes. In aggregate, of all the time spent viewing financial news websites, more minutes are spent on CNBC.com than on any other financial news site (530MM minutes). This means that 14 minutes out of every hour spent on financial news websites in the United States are spent on CNBC.com.

-CNBC.com remains #1 in time spent per visit, with users spending an average of 21.6 minutes per visit, the most in the Business/Finance - News/Research category (among sites with >1MM unique visitors).

-CNBC.com is still #1 in the category in minutes per visitor (92.4 min/visitor).

-CNBC.com is the #1 site in page views per visitor in the category with users consuming an average of 49 pages (among sites with >1MM unique visitors).

- On Apr. 26, CNBC.com posted it second-highest page view day ever with 21.1 million page views, just over 600,000 short of its all-time high recorded on Oct. 10, 2008. (Source: Omniture)

-CNBC?s iPhone APP had its best month ever in both page views (35 million) and unique visitors (332,000). (Source: Omniture) Since launch in October, the CNBC iPhone APP has been downloaded over 619,000 times.

-The week of Apr. 26 was the best week ever in terms of page views for CNBC's digital platforms with 106 million for CNBC.com, 13 million for CNBC Mobile Web and 9 million for CNBC's iPhone application. (Source: Omniture)
