With the financial capital of the world in the path of the storm, CNBC's Primetime special, anchored by CNBC's Bill Griffeth and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, will look at the financial impact of Hurricane Sandy, what it means for people and business as well as the global markets.

Hurricane Sandy could endanger 50 million people in the most heavily populated corridor in the nation. Forecasters are warning that the New York area could get the worst of it, including an 11-foot wall of water.
