CNBC Launches PRINCESS Series, 7/9

"Princess," a new series hosted by Gail Vaz-Oxlade, will premiere on Saturday, July 9th at 10pm and 1am ET on CNBC. The one hour shows will air for 13 consecutive Saturdays.

Behold the Princess - you know the type - living a fabulous life, while her debt accumulates and family and friends foot the bills. Now it's time to grow up - and get real.

In this series, Gail Vaz-Oxlade, host of the hit series "Til Debt Do Us Part," tackles the newest generation of spoiled spenders. Over a six week period, Gail takes away these Princesses' credit cards, puts them on a cash diet and challenges them to start achieving goals. Using her no-nonsense tough talk, Gail confronts, cajoles and guides these spoiled Princesses as they transform into self-sufficient young women. Packed with Gail's practical financial advice and compelling candidates, Princess is candid and entertaining viewing for a wide range of audiences.

Princess Ashley - Saturday, July 9th 10p ET
With a fiancé who adores her, Princess Ashley knows how to get what she wants. Using guilt trips, manipulation and outright lies, Ashley's convinced her fiancé Kyle to go into debt to keep her happy - but now he's at a breaking point. Money is the number one issue in their budding relationship. Even though Kyle is covering the living costs, food and vacations Ashley is still racking up over $1,050 of cash advances from her credit card per month to cover her wants. Either Ashley has to change or the wedding is off.

Financial expert Gail Vaz-Oxlade gets to the root of the issue: Ashley's spending is out of control, her dreams are unattainable and the people who love her are quickly running out of patience. Recently she left her husband because she couldn't bring herself to tell him that she'd once again racked up their credit cards and line of credit. They temporarily reconciled after she finally came clean, but the couple is $60,000 in the hole.

Krista hides her fears with her outrageous behavior and her over-the-top wardrobe, makeup and hair. But her marriage is on the rocks and Ryan can't tolerate one more financial secret. If Krista doesn't take Gail's advice to heart, and begin to change her self-centered behavior, this indulgent Princess' fairytale is bound to have a very unhappy ending.
