According to Variety, CINDERELLA's Lily James is in final talks to star in Edgar Wright's upcoming film BABY DRIVER.

James would join Ansel Elgort in the project, which follows "a young, talented gateway driver who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. After being coerced into working for a crime boss, he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom."

Wright is both penning the script and directing the film.

The Daily Mail writes that James will play 'Deborah', Baby's love interest, described as "his muse and his conscience."

She will soon join CINDERELLA co-star Richard Madden in ROMEO AND JULIET as part of Kenneth Branagh's new company's first season in the West End.

James is known for playing 'Lady Rose' in DOWNTON ABBEY and will soon appear in BBC TV's upcoming WAR AND PEACE miniseries, as well as the film adaptation of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. She also recently appeared on the big screen in WRATH OF THE TITANS and FAST GIRLS.

Among the actress' past stage credits are the Young Vic's VERNON GOD LITTLE, Southwark's THE SEAGULL, OTHELLO at the Crucible, and Orange Tree's PLAY HOUSE and DEFINITELY THE BAHAMAS.
