CBS's Wednesday Dramas Deliver Solid Ratings

CBS's Wednesday dramas returned with first-run broadcasts led by CRIMINAL MINDS, which posted an increase in adults 18-49 from its last original episode, and CSI: NY, which placed first in its time period, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, April 7.

At 9:00 PM, CRIMINAL MINDS, featuring guest star Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, was second in households (7.7/12), viewers (12.49m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09). Compared to the last first-run episode (on March 10, 2010), CRIMINAL MINDS was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09).

CSI: NY was first in households (6.8/12), viewers (10.62m) and adults 25-54 (3.4/09); the show tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.5/07, with NBC).

For the night, CBS was second in households (6.2/10), viewers (9.75m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08).
