CBS won the week in viewers, extending its lead over second-place NBC and season-to-date has added more viewers any other network versus a year ago, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 1. CBS was also first for the week in its target adult 25-54 demographic and is also first for the season.
Season-to-date,
CBS is first in viewers, up +7% (11.60m from 10.87m), adults 25-54 (tie) unchanged at 3.3/09 and second in adults 18-49, also unchanged at 2.4/08.
For the week,
CBS had seven of the top 10 broadcasts, including four freshman series (NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, MADAM SECRETARY,
THE ODD COUPLE and SCORPION), and 13 of the top 20 programs.
CBS had two of the week's top 10 broadcasts in adults 18-49 -
THE BIG BANG THEORY (#2) and
THE ODD COUPLE (#6, tie) - and eight of the top 20 broadcasts in adults 18-49 (more than any other network).
In its second week, new comedy
THE ODD COUPLE retained 90% of its adults 18-49 premiere and 82% in viewers. MOM had a strong debut in its new 9:30 PM time period, up in viewers and key demos from the previous first-run comedy. The week also saw solid premieres for the 30th edition of
SURVIVOR and the 26th edition of THE AMAZING RACE.

· MOM premiered in its new 9:30 PM time period second in viewers (8.30m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06). Compared to its last first run episode at 8:30 PM (on Feb.12), MOM was even in adults 18-49. It was up +20% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/06), +31% in adults 18-49 (from 1.6/05) and added +1.19m viewers (from 7.11m, +17%) compared to the last first-run comedy in the time period ("The McCarthys") on Jan. 29.
SURVIVOR

SURVIVOR (P) (8:00-9:30 PM) posted its largest audience (10.04m) for a premiere since
THE FALL of 2012. Compared to last winter's premiere,
SURVIVOR was up +3% in adults 25-54 (3.3/09 from 3.2/08), even in adults 18-49 (2.4/07) and added +620,000 viewers (from 9.42m, +7%). Compared to last fall's premiere,
SURVIVOR added +230,000 viewers (from 9.81m, +2%).
THE AMAZING RACE SPECIAL

THE AMAZING RACE SPECIAL (S) (9:30-11:00 PM) was second in viewers (6.16m) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.5/04), up +18% in adults 25-54 (2.0/05 from 1.7/06), +36% in adults 18-49 (from 1.1/05) while adding +640,000 viewers (from 5.52m, +12%) from last fall's premiere.

NCIS was first in households and viewers (17.38m), and was second in both adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.3/08).
NCIS was the week's #1 program in viewers and Tuesday's top scripted program in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
