THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT posted across-the-board growth from a year ago, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 9.
THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT averaged of 2.89m viewers, up +5% (from 2.76m) compared to the same week last year. In key demographics, THE LATE SHOW was up +67% in adults 18-34 (0.5/03 from 0.3/02), +20% in adults 18-49 (0.6/03 from 0.5/02) and +14% in adults 25-54 (0.8/04 from 0.7/03).
THE LATE SHOW tied "The Tonight Show" for the top spot in adults 18-34 (0.5/03, each). The Colbert-hosted broadcast was the only 11:35 PM late night show to post year-to-year gains in viewers and key demos.
Season-to-date, THE LATE SHOW is up +100% in adults 18-34 (0.6/04 from 0.3/01), +60% in adults 18-49 (0.8/04 from 0.5/02), +43% in adults 25-54 (1.0/05 from 0.7/03) and +24% in viewers (3.39m from 2.74m) compared to last season. Through the first three weeks of the official broadcast season, THE LATE SHOW is tied with "Tonight" in adults 18-34 (0.6/04, each), and is the only 11:35 PM late night show to post gains in viewers and key demos.
