FACE THE NATION delivered 3.50 million viewers and 0.6/04 in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 78.31% of the CBS affiliates.
FACE THE NATION posted double-digit year-to-year percentage growth in viewers (up +26%, from 2.77m).
FACE THE NATION is also the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers, television year-to-date, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Television year-to-date,
FACE THE NATION delivered 3.68 million viewers (up +11%, from 3.32m compared to last year).
On the July 24 broadcast, the show began with an excerpt from the first joint interview with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and her running mate Sen. Tim Kaine that aired on
60 MINUTES on Sunday night. Next, the show aired an extended interview John Dickerson taped with President Obama in the White House on Friday, July 22. The political panel featured
CBS News Congressional Correspondent Nancy Cordes; The Atlantic's Ron Brownstein; Slate and
CBS Political Analyst Jamelle Bouie; and National Review's Ramesh Ponnuru.
