CBS's FACE THE NATION is #1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program with Over 3.8 M Viewers

CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers and second in adults 25-54 (tied) according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 20. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.85 million viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 57.83% of the CBS affiliates.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +29% in viewers (from 3.00m) and +14% in adults 25-54 (from 0.7/03).

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.79m) and second in adults 25-54 (0.8/04, tied). Compared to last season, FACE THE NATION is up +9% in viewers (from 3.47m) and even in adults 25-54.

The March 20th broadcast featured interviews with Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) and Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Host John Dickerson also spoke with former Republican presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). The broadcast included a new focus group of 2016 voters with analysis from CBS News Contributor and Republican Pollster Frank Luntz. CBS News Legal Correspondent Jan Crawford and former federal judicial nominee Miguel Estrada discussed the President's nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court. This week's political panel included Reihan Salam of National Review Institute and The National Review; Susan Page of USA Today, Jonathan Martin of The New York Times; and Ruth Marcus of The Washington Post.
