CBS's FACE THE NATION is #1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program for 2014-15 TV Year

CBS News' FACE THE NATION finished first in viewers (3.30m) and first in adults 25-54 (tied at 0.7/04) for the 2014-2015 television year, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Compared to last year, FACE THE NATION finished up +6% in viewers (from 3.12m) and even in adults 25-54. FACE THE NATION posted its best delivery in viewers since the advent of people meters (since at least the 1987-1988 television year.)

CBS News' FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program, finishing first in viewers (3.19m), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings on September 20. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 57.4% of the CBS affiliates. Compared to same day last year, FACE THE NATION is up +9% in viewers (from 2.93m) and even in adults 25-54 (0.6/03).

The Sept. 20 broadcast featured an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, in her first Sunday show appearance in four years. Host John Dickerson also spoke with Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY). This week's panel of analysts included Wall Street Journal columnist and CBS News contributor Peggy Noonan; Jamelle Bouie of Slate; Ron Brownstein of the National Journal; and Michael Gerson of The Washington Post. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer of the Emmy-award winning FACE THE NATION, one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television.
