CBS's FACE THE NATION Finishes First in Viewers & Key Demo

CBS News' FACE THE NATION posted 3.37m viewers and 0.8/03 in adults 25-54 - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news - according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 16. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 55% of the CBS affiliates.

On Nov. 16, FACE THE NATION was first in viewers and tied for first in adults 25-54 among the Sunday morning public affairs programs.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers (3.27m) and adults 25-54 (0.8/04).

The Nov. 16 broadcast of FACE THE NATION featured interviews with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT). Host Bob Schieffer also spoke to Ruth Marcus of the The Washington Post, Jerry Seib of The Wall Street Journal, Dana Milbank of The Washington Post, and Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic and Bloomberg View.

FACE THE NATION is broadcast on Sundays at 10:30 AM, ET (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer. The Emmy-winning program, FACE THE NATION is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television, now celebrating its 60th year on air. It premiered on CBS on Nov. 7, 1954. The program broadcasts from Washington, D.C., where Schieffer has spent more than 40 years covering government and politics. He has anchored FACE THE NATION since 1991. Guests include government leaders, politicians and global figures in the news.
