According to Deadline, CBS and Time Warner Cable have extended their contract deadline through tonight at 8 p.m. EST - if the two companies fail to come to an agreement on how much Time Warner will shell out per subscriber to CBS' stations, over 3.5 million homes in New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas may find themselves without the number one rated broadcast network.
The original contract was extended from last Thursday, July 25, until today at 5 p.m. EST. Negotiations continued this morning, though no agreement was reached.
At today's Summer TCA TV Critics conference, CBS' Les Moonves said: "It's a very difficult negotiation. We feel like we should be paid for our programming. I don't want to get into it much today...I hope we don't go dark."
