CBS THIS MORNING is the only morning news broadcast to show year-to-year gains in viewers and double-digit percentage gains in all key demographic categories, according to Nielsen's live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 9. Meanwhile, ABC and NBC saw declines in adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49.
CBS THIS MORNING is up +9% in viewers (3.90m from 3.57m), +11% in adults 25-54 (1.0 rating from 0.9), +10% in women 25-54 (1.1 rating from 1.0) and +14% women 18-49 (0.8 rating from 0.7). At the same time,
ABC was down in all measures: -4% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -11%, women 25-54 and -15% women 18-49.
NBC was flat in viewers, down -6% in adults 25-54, -5% women 25-54 and -7% women 18-49.
Season-to-date,
CBS THIS MORNING is the only morning news broadcast to show growth in viewers and key demos according to Nielsen's most current ratings.
CBS THIS MORNING is up +6% in viewers, +13% in adults 25-54 and +10% in women 25-54. Meanwhile,
ABC was down in all measures: down -6% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54 and -6% in women 25-54.
NBC was down -2% in viewers, flat in adults 25-54 and down -10% in women 25-54.
CBS THIS MORNING gained +326,000 viewers compared to the same week last year and closed the viewership gap with
ABC by more than half a million viewers (545,000) viewers and cut the deficit with
NBC by 336,000 viewers.
CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 50 consecutive months while
ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
