CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news broadcast to post year-to-year gains among viewers, adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49, while ABC and NBC experienced declines in viewers and women 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 25.
CBS THIS MORNING delivered 3.99 million viewers (up +14% from 3.50m), was up +11% in adults 25-54 (1.0 rating from 0.9), up +20% in women 25-54 (1.2 rating from 1.0) and up +14% in women 18-49 (0.8 rating from 0.7), compared to the same week a year ago. At the same time,
ABC was down -2% in viewers, down -13% in adults 25-54, down -11% in women 25-54 and even in women 18-49.
NBC was down -6% in viewers, flat in adults 25-54, down -10% in women 25-54 and down -13% in women 18-49.
CBS THIS MORNING gained almost half a million (+489,000) viewers compared to the same week last year and closed the viewership gap with
NBC by more than three-quarters of a million viewers (762,000) and cut the deficit with
ABC by 611,000 viewers.
Season-to-date,
CBS THIS MORNING is the only morning news broadcast to show growth in viewers and all key demos, according to Nielsen's most current ratings.
CBS THIS MORNING is up +6% in viewers, +13% in adults 25-54, +10% in women 25-54 and +17% women 18-49. At the same time,
ABC was down in all measures: -6% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -6%, women 25-54 and -8% women 18-49.
NBC was down -3% in viewers, even in adults 25-54, down -10% women 25-54 and -13% women 18-49.
CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 50 consecutive months while
ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
