CBS THIS MORNING scored CBS's largest weekly audience in the time period in 22 years (since March 1994) and was the only network morning news broadcast to grow year-to-year in viewers and key news demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 8.
CBS THIS MORNING is up viewers (+8%, 3.87m from 3.58m) and adults 25-54 (+11%, 1.0/08 from 0.9/07) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news - compared to last year.
CBS THIS MORNING gained +290,000 viewers compared to last year and closed the viewership gap from last year with
ABC by 870,000 viewers and with
NBC by 570,000 viewers. In the week ending, Jan. 8,
CBS closed the competitive gap with
NBC to less than 1 million viewers.
CBS THIS MORNING also posted year-to-year increases in women 25-54 (+10%, 1.1/08 from 1.0/07) and women 18-49 (+14%, 0.8/07 from 0.7/06).
Season-to-date,
CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY is up +5% in viewers (2.22m from 2.13m) and even in adults 25-54 (0.5/04) compared to last season. On Jan. 9,
CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY posted 2.16m viewers and a 0.5/04 in adults 25-54.
