CBS THIS MORNING posted year-to-year gains in viewers and key demos according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 26. CBS THIS MORNING delivered 3.41 million viewers (+5%, from 3.24m last year) and was up +13% adults 25-54 and +11% women 25-54 compared to a year ago. ABC was down -9% in viewers (4.25m from 4.68m), -14% in adults 25-54, -17% in women 25-54 and -17% women 18-49. CBS THIS MORNING gained +170,000 viewers compared to the same week last year, while ABC decreased by 437,000 viewers.
In comparison to previous post-Olympics periods,
CBS THIS MORNING is up 43% versus four years ago, while
NBC is down 1% and
ABC is down 9%.
Continuing on a ratings ascension, television year-to-date,
CBS THIS MORNING is the only network morning news broadcast to post gains in viewers and key women demos, according to Nielsen most current ratings.
CBS THIS MORNING is up +7% in viewers (3.59m from 3.35m), + 13% in adults 25-54, + 11% in women 25-54 and +17% in women 18-49 compared with last year.
Television year-to-date,
ABC is delivering declines in all measures: down -9% in viewers, -19% in adults 25-54, -14% in women 25-54 and -14% in women 18-49, compared with last year.
NBC is also down: -2% in viewers and -7% in women 18-49 compared with last year.
CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 47 consecutive months, while
ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
