CBS THIS MORNING posted strong year-to-year gains in viewers and all key demos according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 7. CBS THIS MORNING delivered 3.55 million viewers (+4% from 3.42m) and was up +13% in adults 25-54 (0.9 rating from 0.8), +22% in women 25-54 (1.1 rating from 0.9) and +17% in women 18-49 ( 0.7 rating from 0.6), compared to a year ago. ABC was down -3% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54 and -6% in women 25-54.
CBS THIS MORNING gained +136,000 viewers, compared to the same week last year, and closed the viewership gap with
ABC by over a quarter of a million (288,000) viewers.
Season-to-date,
CBS THIS MORNING is the only broadcast morning news program to gain in viewers, according to Nielsen's most current ratings.
CBS THIS MORNING is up +4% in viewers, +13% in adults 25-54, +10% in women 25-54 and +17% in women 18-49. At the same time,
ABC was down in all measures: -6% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -6% in women 25-54 and -8% in women 18-49.
NBC was flat in viewers and down -7% in women 18-49.
CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 48 consecutive months while
ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
