CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news broadcast to post year-to-year gains among viewers and women 25-54, while ABC and NBC saw declines in viewers, adults 25-54 and women 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 18.
CBS THIS MORNING delivered 3.84 million viewers (up +8% from 3.55m), was even in adults 25-54, up +10% in women 25-54 (1.1 rating from 1.0) and even in women 18-49 compared to the same week a year ago. At the same time,
ABC was down -8% in viewers, down -20% in adults 25-54, down -11% in women 25-54 and even in women 18-49.
NBC was down in all measures: -7% in viewers, down -12% in adults 25-54, down -18% in women 25-54 and down -19% in women 18-49.
CBS THIS MORNING gained over a quarter of a million (+284,000) viewers compared to the same week last year and closed the viewership gap with
ABC by 691,000 viewers and cut the deficit with the
NBC by 637,000 viewers.
Season-to-date,
CBS THIS MORNING is the only broadcast morning news program to show growth in viewers and all key demos according to Nielsen's most current ratings.
CBS THIS MORNING is up +6% in viewers, +13% in adults 25-54, +22% in women 25-54 and +17% women 18-49. At the same time,
ABC was down in all measures: -6% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54, -6%, women 25-54 and -8% women 18-49.
NBC was down -2% in viewers, even in adults 25-54, down -10% women 25-54 and -13% women 18-49.
CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 49 consecutive months while
ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
