CBS Sports has joined forces with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. As part of the partnership, CBS Sports will assist St. Jude in raising awareness of pediatric cancer throughout the month of September during its football coverage on CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network, and on CBS social channels.

To kick off the Network's support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the CBS Cares campaign will shine a spotlight on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, beginning tonight in primetime, with PSAs featuring CBS Sports' James Brown and Bill Cowher.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago, and St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer. Because of the funds and awareness raised through supporters like CBS Sports, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because St. Jude believes all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

CBS Sports' involvement with St. Jude in September will be highlighted by a visit to Memphis by THE NFL TODAY team. Brown, Cowher, Tony Gonzalez, Bart Scott and Boomer Esiason visited the St. Jude campus to meet patients and their families, and learn more about the research and treatment being done at the hospital. THE NFL TODAY team also hosted fun football-themed activities with the patients. The visit will be part of THE NFL TODAY show on Sunday, Sept. 18 (12:00 PM-1:00 PM, ET).

Austin Denton, a 15-year old St. Jude patient with ambition to be a sports broadcaster, will join THE NFL TODAY on Sunday, Sept. 25.

CBS Sports was with the University of Memphis football team when they visited with St. Jude patients and their families. The Tigers visit will air during COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, the network's COLLEGE FOOTBALL studio show.

Throughout the month of September, all CBS game and studio announcers will wear St. Jude lapel pins and ties to remind viewers of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
