CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, delivered its largest first quarter audience in 2016 since the 1987 advent of people meters, according to Nielsen most current ratings.
For the quarter,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.36 million viewers and a 1.4/07 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +2% in viewers (from 6.21m), compared to first quarter 2015. This marks the second consecutive first quarter that
CBS SUNDAY MORNING has delivered its largest audience for the period since the advent of people meters.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING has posted viewer gains in each first quarter since 2009. Since first quarter 2009,
CBS SUNDAY has added +1.27 million viewers, representing a +25% increase from 5.09 million viewers.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING has also delivered more than six million viewers for the last three first quarters.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET/PT) on the
