CBS SUNDAY MORNING, America's #1 Sunday morning news program, posted year-to-year viewer gains and delivered more than 6 million viewers for the 11th time since January, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 10.

The broadcast delivered 6.19 million viewers and a 1.3/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in viewers (from 5.78m).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is the #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54. The broadcast is delivering 6.04 million viewers and a 1.3/07 in adults 25-54.

Sunday's special, "The Money Issue" edition, was anchored by Anthony Mason and featured John Blackstone's report on young entrepreneurs who are dropping out of school hoping to strike it rich in California's Silicon Valley; Lee Cowan's interview with actor Hugh Jackman about his coffee business; Luke Burbank's story on treasure hunting with metal detectors; Susan Spencer's trio of reports on odd jobs; and Serena Altschul's interview with Sam Adams beer founder Jim Koch, who now helps other small beer makers.

Also on the broadcast were Martha Teichner's report on how Iceland, following the 2008 financial crisis, sent many of its bankers to prison; Nancy Giles' profile of some of the people we've come to know as recurring characters in popular TV commercials; Faith Salie's look at what people need to know about the fine print in online contracts; Seth Doane's visit to an Australian town where miners search for opals and live underground; Allen Pizzey's tour of Italian village where many Americans are buying retirement homes; Jim Gaffigan's thoughts on inflation and the tooth fairy; and Mellody Hobson's pitch for consumers to save money by giving up credit cards and going "cash only."
