CBS SUNDAY MORNING Posts Year-to-Year Gains

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH Charles Osgood was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 28, 2013.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.9/11 with 5.69m viewers and a 1.5/08 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +15% in adults 25-54 (from 1.3/07), up +17% in viewers (from 4.87m) and up +11% in households (from 3.5/10).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +7% in both adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) and viewers (5.67m from 5.29m), and is also up +8% in households (4.0/11 from 3.7/10) compared to last year.

Sunday's broadcast featured a future-themed edition of CBS SUNDAY MORNING, which included Rita Braver's interview with Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt, Mo Rocca's report on the accuracy of forecasters of the future throughout history, Tracy Smith's interview with actor Jeremy Irons and his quest to find solutions for the disposal of trash, Serena Altschul's report on the new wave of 3D printing, and Barry Petersen's report about the ongoing search for new planets and extraterrestrial life.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
