CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, posted year-to-year audience gains, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 8. CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.71 million viewers, up +1% from 5.66m the same week a year ago and a 1.1/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most with those who advertise in news. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was #1 in both categories.

Jane Pauley anchored Sunday's broadcast, which featured Maurice DuBois' cover story on Pulitzer Prize-winning photographers sharing their craft with new photojournalists at the Eddie Adams Workshop in Jeffersonville, N.Y. Sunday's broadcast also included Jim Axelrod's interview with Ivana Trump; Tracy Smith's profile of singer Pink; Tony Dokoupil's report on the sexual harassment claims against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein; Lee Cowan's interview with a woman who survived the mass shooting at Virginia Tech in 2007; Martha Teichner's interview with a man who makes globes by hand; Bill Flanagan's appreciation of the late singer Tom Petty; Seth Doane's interview with actor Andrew Garfield; and Steve Hartman's essay on the impact of the shooting in Las Vegas.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
