CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted a year-to-year gain in viewers and finished the 2013-2014 television year as the #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen most current ratings.
For the 2013-2014 television year,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING averaged 5.79 million viewers and a 1.4/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most with those who advertise in news.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in viewers (from 5.45m) and even in adults 25-54, compared to last year.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best delivery in viewers for the second consecutive season since the advent of people meters (1987-1988 season) and matched last year's adults 25-54 rating, which was the best delivery since 2009-2010.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING ended the television year with its Sept. 21 broadcast, which averaged 5.88 million viewers and posted a 1.3/07 in adults 25-54.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best viewers delivery since May 18, 2014. Compared to the same day last year,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +10% in viewers (from 5.37m) and even in adults 25-54.
Sunday's broadcast featured Anthony Mason's interview with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett; Jan Crawford's report on the controversial issue of teaching the Common Core educational standards; Jane Pauley's profile of Marquis Govan, an 11-year-old from Ferguson, Mo., who became a voice of reason during
THE AFTERMATH of a police shooting; Tracy Smith's trip back in time aboard The Queen Mary; saxophonist Steve Coleman's reflection on what it means to receive a "genius" grant from the MacArthur Foundation; and Steve Hartman's story about a Pittsburgh police detective who adopted two foster children.
