CBS SUNDAY MORNING Posts Audience Gains Year-To-Year & Season-To-Date

CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, posted audience gains year-to-year, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 5. The broadcast also posted season-to-date audience gains, according to Nielsen's most current statistics.

The broadcast delivered 6.18 million viewers and a 1.2/06 with adults 25-54 on Nov. 5, 2017. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +4% in viewers (from 5.95m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.2/06).

Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +3% in viewers (5.86m from 5.70m) and is averaging a 1.1/06 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. CBS SUNDAY MORNING is the #1 Sunday morning news program in these measures.

Jane Pauley anchored Sunday's broadcast, which featured Anthony Mason's cover story on the 50thanniversary of Rolling Stone magazine. Also on the broadcast, Rita Braver interviewed singer-songwriter Art Garfunkel.Martha Teichner caught up with bestselling author Ta-Nehisi Coates. Seth Doane took a ride on the real Orient Express - and talked with Kenneth Branagh, the director and star of the new film version of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Serena Altschul reported on the tale of a unique Rolex wristwatch once owned by Paul Newman that sold for $17 million at a recent auction. Steve Hartman had a story about the wife of a fallen Iraq war veteran who located her husband's old car and had it refurbished for their son. Ben Tracy profiled a Japanese floral artist. And Kris Van Cleave looked back at the legacy of the 747 airplane as it takes its final flights.
