CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD delivered its best audience since March 2, 2014 and remained the #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 2.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.17 million viewers and a 1.4/06 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same week a year ago,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in viewers (from 5.81m) and even in adults 25-54.
Season-to-date,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +8% with adults 25-54 (1.4/07 from a 1.3/7) and up +6% in viewers (5.86m from 5.52m).
Sunday's broadcast featured Mark Strassmann's report on a baseball league where the players are blind or visually impaired; Serena Altschul's profile of actor Bradley Cooper; Mo Rocca's look at controversial Rhode Island politician Buddy Cianci; Martha Teichner's visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's exhibit of the evolving fashions of mourning; and Lee Cowan's chat with actress Lisa Kudrow. The broadcast also included Steve Hartman's piece on the travels of a 9-year-old boy who is losing his eyesight and David Martin's segment on a new ballet commemorating the life of Colin Wolfe, a former dancer and Marine killed in action.
