CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, delivered its largest February sweep audience since 1994, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.
In the February 2016 sweep,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.22 million viewers (up +1% from 6.16 last year) and a 1.4/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program for the period in viewers and adults 25-54.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING also finished the sweep on Feb. 28, as the dominant Sunday morning news program, delivering 5.97 million viewers and a 1.3/07 in adults 25-54.
Jane Pauley anchored the Feb. 28 broadcast, which featured her interview with Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan; Lee Cowan's look at movie trailers; Anthony Mason's profile of music legend Sir Elton John; Martha Teichner's report on films labelled "based on a true story"; Mo Rocca's interview with Academy Award historian, Hollywood journalist, and
TCM on-air host Robert Osborne; Elizabeth Palmer's chat with Col Needham, the movie buff who created the website IMDb; film critic David Edelstein's Oscar picks; Tavis Smiley's thoughts on diversity in Hollywood; and Steve Hartman's report on a 5-year-old girl who became a mother-like figure for a duck.
