CBS News programs powered to strong #1 finishes in primetime and Sunday morning with key news demos and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same for the week ending May 3.
The Network's broadcasts of 48 HOURS,
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD and
FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER each earned time period wins with adults 25-54, the demographic most desired by those who advertise in news, and viewers.
Moreover,
60 MINUTES delivered a time period win in viewers on Sunday, while
CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news broadcast to maintain its delivered of adults 25-54, while also posting a solid +12% gain in viewers over the same period a year ago.
CBS News broadcasts last week featured Norah O'Donnell's original reporting on the future of YouTube; Bob Schieffer's interview of NAACP President Cornell William Brooks; Jan Crawford's look at the band Alabama Shakes; Jeff Pegues' segments on death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore; Peter Van Sant on the case of a Florida woman who claimed she dreamt about a friend's murder; and Seth Doane's ongoing reporting from the earthquake disaster in Nepal.
