CBS News' FACE THE NATION WITH Bob Schieffer was the #1 public affairs show on Sunday, Sept. 23, placing first in viewers, households (tied with NBC) and adults 25-54 (tied with NBC). The CBS broadcast posted a 2.3/06 in households, 3.12m viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION also posted its best household delivery since April 15, 2012 and best adults 25-54 ratings since July 22, 2012. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 47% of the CBS affiliates.
Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +28% in households (from 1.8/05), +24% in viewers (from 2.52m) and +14% in adults 25-54 (from 0.7/03).
For the 2011-2012 television year, most current, FACE THE NATION was up +5% in households (2.0/06 from 1.9/05), +6% in viewers (2.85m from 2.69m) and even in adults 25-54 (0.7/03) compared to last year. For the television year, FACE THE NATION was tied for first in adults 25-54 (with NBC) and second in both households and viewers.
