CBS NEWS to Deliver Full Day & Night of Up-to-the-Minute Election Coverage

CBS News will deliver a full day and night of up-to-the-minute original reporting on television, CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 live streaming news service, and all CBS News platforms on Tuesday, Nov. 8. CBS News will provide seven hours of multi-platform, division-wide coverage of Campaign 2016: Election Night (7:00 PM - 2:00 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network and live streamed on CBSN. Election Day coverage kicks off on CBSN at 6:00 AM, ET, and on the CBS Television Network with CBS THIS MORNING at 7:00 AM.

CBS News will use the full force of the Network's journalists and the latest integrated graphics and virtual storytelling tools to provide original reporting and breaking news about the election across all platforms. CBS News will simultaneously report exit poll data, the latest projection information and analysis on all platforms including CBSN, CBSNews.com and Twitter account @CBSNews. CBS News will use @CBSNews to communicate all election projections and characterizations and provide transparency into all CBS News political reporting, revealing internal guidance on all races as soon as the information is reportable.

CBS EVENING NEWS anchor and managing editor Scott Pelley; CBS THIS MORNING co-hosts Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell; FACE THE NATION anchor and CBS News political director John Dickerson; CBSN anchor and CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano; and CBS News contributor Bob Schieffer will lead the Network's comprehensive coverage and analysis on all platforms from the Campaign 2016: Election Night headquarters in Studio 57, the state-of-the-art, high-definition studio that is home to CBS THIS MORNING.

Rose, an acclaimed interviewer who brings his UNRIVALED talent for initiating thought-provoking conversations to CBS THIS MORNING every day, will conduct key newsmaker interviews throughout the night from Campaign 2016: Election Night headquarters. Rose will also lead several political panels to provide analysis and insight on the state of the race and voting trends with CBS News and CBSN contributors Jamelle Bouie, Mark Leibovich, Frank Luntz, Peggy Noonan, Leslie Sanchez and Fran Townsend, in addition to Ben Domenech of The Federalist; Ruth Marcus and Michael Gerson of The Washington Post; and former NPR host Michele Norris of The Aspen Institute.

The CBS News Decision Desk will make projections throughout the night. At the Decision Desk, CBS News elections director Anthony Salvanto and CBS News correspondent DeMarco Morgan will report on and analyze the races and provide the latest vote tallies and up-to-the-minute exit polling data as the races unfold.

CBS News senior national correspondent Anthony Mason will report from Studio 47, home of the CBS EVENING NEWS, where he will deliver exit polling data on the race using fully augmented reality on-screen graphics. Mason will provide context for exit poll data in an effort to explain how and why people voted the way they did.

Quijano will report breaking news and headlines trending on social media, and CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman will report on key congressional races from the Campaign 2016: Election Night headquarters.

CBS News correspondents Major Garrett and Nancy Cordes have traveled with the candidates the entire election cycle and will close CAMPAIGN 2016 in similar fashion. Cordes will be at the Clinton campaign headquarters in New York City, and Garrett will be at the Trump campaign headquarters in New York City.

CBS News will also have an extensive correspondent team contributing live reports and original reporting from the across the country, including Margaret Brennan at the White House; Jericka Duncan in Pennsylvania; Jan Crawford in North Carolina; Mark Strassmann in Florida; Dean Reynolds in Ohio; Chip Reid in Wisconsin; Anna Werner in Nevada; Omar Villafranca in Texas; and Michelle Miller at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. Additionally, CBS News justice and homeland security correspondent Jeff Pegues reports from Washington, D.C., on cybersecurity and potential election-hacking concerns.

CBS News will also deploy correspondents overseas to provide live reports and context on international issues that have played a role during the election. Manuel Bojorquez will be in Mexico City; Elizabeth Palmer will be in Moscow; and Charlie D'Agata will be in London during Campaign 2016: Election Night coverage.

Coverage on CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 digital streaming news service, will begin at 6:00 AM, ET. The around-the-clock coverage, available for free across all leading digital platforms, will be led by CBSN anchor Josh Elliott and CBS News correspondents Vladimir Duthiers and Reena Ninan and will continue through the day and overnight. CBSN will feature the Network's Campaign 2016: Election Night coverage from 7:00 PM - 2:00 AM, ET, while offering additional live CBSN recaps from the CBS News Decision Desk, social media updates, and more. From 2:00 AM, ET, through Wednesday morning, CBSN will have additional ongoing live coverage and post-election analysis. CBSN is available on connected TV devices including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox One and Xbox 360, as well as CBSNews.com and the CBS News mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows 8.1. CBSN continues to increase viewership, setting a new quarterly viewership record in the third quarter of 2016 with more than 60 million streams, and a new monthly viewership record in October with 27.2 million streams.

CBSN and CBS THIS MORNING (7:00 - 9:00 AM) will begin the CBS News' television coverage that day with newsmaking interviews and reports from around the country with continuing coverage on Wednesday. The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) will lead into the Network's Campaign 2016: Election Night coverage by delivering up-to-the-minute reporting.

CBS Newspath, the Network's 24-hour television newsgathering service for CBS stations and broadcasters around the world, will also offer comprehensive coverage. CBS Newspath correspondent Weijia Jiang will report from the Clinton campaign headquarters; Jamie Yuccas will report from the Trump campaign headquarters; and Craig Boswell will offer morning coverage of the election from a polling place Tuesday and from Capitol Hill Wednesday.

CBS Radio News will deliver at least seven hours of live anchored coverage, updates, special reports and online feeds of the results as they come in on the presidential and key congressional races Tuesday night and through Wednesday morning. CBS Radio News will stream live, continuous Election Night coverage on Tunein.com, Radio.com and on the CBS Radio News mobile apps for iOS and Android.
